DNS troubleshooting

If the client resolves the host name with the wrong IP address, this might be because of DNS server cache, the original IP address for the corresponding host have changed but still the local DNS server cache not yet updated, so you client will get the wrong and old IP address from DNS server cache.

Use the following solutions to view DNS Cache on server you can also delete the corresponding DNS entry or Clear DNS Cache to resolve the issue

How to view DNS Cache on server

You can view this cache by browsing the Cached Lookups folder for a server in the DNS Management snap-in. This folder is not shown by default, so you'll need to select Advanced from the View menu.
